Guardians of the Green

Guardians of the Green

High up in the hills, where the green stretched as far as the eye could see, many animals lived in peace. The deer, with its elegant steps, roamed the meadows; the coati, curious and playful, explored every corner; and the squirrel leapt from tree to tree, while the weasel prowled among the rocks. All respected the laws of nature and lived together in harmony.

One day, the owl, wise guardian of the hills, summoned the animals for an important meeting. From above, with his deep voice, he said:

— Friends, I have observed that we have stopped caring for the life around us. The green of these hills, which gives us food and shelter, is fading away. We must remember the love for nature that unites us.

Before the animals could respond, a girl appeared among the trees. She was known as Tina, the guardian of the forest, who had lived in the hills since she was little and had learned to understand the language of animals. With a calm smile, she approached the group and said:

— Owl, animals, you are right. The balance of the hills is fragile, but we can restore it if we act together. I’ve seen how the water no longer flows as freely and how the plants have begun to wither. However, with love for nature, everything can bloom again.

The restless hare asked:

— But how can we help?

Tina, with the wisdom of someone who knows the forest by heart, replied:

— Let’s take care of what we have. Every action matters. If we replant trees, protect the rivers, and respect the life around us, the hills will continue to be our home.

The spectacled bear, strong and noble, nodded and said:

— Tina is right. We must protect our homes and avoid harming our surroundings. If we take care of the water and each other, the hills will be as green as they once were.

The coati, always optimistic, added:

— If we work together, we’ll be stronger. Among friends, we can do great things.

....

Thus, with Tina’s help and her love for nature, all the animals joined together in a mission: to care for the hills and preserve the life that flourished there. From that moment on, each one did their part, and the hills shone greener than ever, reminding everyone that unity and respect for nature are the keys to maintaining harmony.

Moral: True strength arises when we all care for the nature around us—together.
